The only Rainbow song I've heard is Spirit Dreams Inside from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

And yes, I jsut called them Rainbow cuz I know it'll annoy Red-sama :)

Why does a Japanese band have a French name anyways?

I wanna torture you.
I used to love it, and it's been a long time.
I mean, the last time I tortured somebody, they didn't even have chainsaws.

But of course it's sexy, I'm a bit French myself-so I gotta be hot, right?...right?...Anyways, I don't know much of the language, but I can do the accent and fake it decently enough, hehehehe ^_^().

Sorry for the delay, I had to download all the songs! Then I started putting this reply off...^^;;

I kind of agree with KuwagaRaijer here as well. L'Arc en Ciel still retains its sound throughout the years (and there's been a lot of years ^^;; ).

Personally can't tell much difference between L'Arc and P'Unk, other than Tetsu isn't the greatest singer out there and his solo works suffer mostly because of such. However instrumentally he's a badass. Hyde is a freaking awesome singer, but his solo works tend to lean on extremes rather than technique. Not really a bad thing, it's an amusing contrast between the uber-mellow easy-listening Roentgen album and the hard-rockin' pissed-off 666 album. Out of the two I feel Hyde is the better musician all around, but it's the chemistry between the two of them (angst or no) that helps make the band great.

I feel the music of P'Unk en Ciel is actually very much the same as L'Arc en Ciel, just mixed better to illustrate that there's actually a bass-line in their songs and there's more emphasis on the usually absent-sounding drums (especially with their earlier works, I really feel for Yukihiro). I always wondered why the bassist, being the one that formed the freakin' band, always seemed to place himself in the background of his own songs.

I've never been a real big fan to how Larku's albums have been mixed. I'm the type who has to adjust the settings to his stereo whenever he listens to L'Arc en Ciel. A bit of a hastle because I don't do this with any other band that I listen too, but I feel the effect is worth it.
